The sun was out once again on Monday evening at Onchan Raceway sponsored by K G Services.
WINDOW WIZARD MINISTOX
The Window Wizard Ministox were first out, Pemma Nissanka led race one from the start getting pushed hard all the way by Jack Dobson, Harry Watson and Josh Watson with plenty of close, fast racing. Ben Kelly led Jake Hooper home to claim the whites and yellows victory, both drivers lapped well all night and showed constant improvement. Race two saw Nissanka again lead until half distance when Dobson forced him out wide to go on to take the chequered flag from Harry Watson and Nissanka. Race three saw Nissanka lead again and was pushed hard by Dobson but with 2 laps to go Harry Watson managed to pass both Nissanka and Dobson to claim top spot from Nissanka and Dobson. Race four saw the top three drivers all starting on the same points so it was all to race for, Dobson managed to claim the early lead and looked set to claim the victory until a last lap crash with Harry left him in the fence, Harry Watson won from Nissanka, Josh Watson, Kelly and Hooper. The K G Services trophies were awarded to Harry Watson, Pemma Nissanka and Jack Dobson with Ben Kelly taking the whites and yellows award.
MANN CONSTRUCTION FORMULA 2s
The Mann Construction formula 2s were next Robert Hooper led race one from start to finish taking the honours from Dougie Kinrade and Kevin Hooper. Race two saw Dougie Kinrade take the lead at the halfway distance after a nudge of the bar work saw Robert Hooper spin, Kinrade won from Kevin then Robert. Kinrade also won race three from Robert and Kevin. The K G Services trophies were awarded to Dougie Kinrade, Robert Hooper and Kevin Hooper.
A & J QUALITY BUTCHERS BANGERS
The A&J quality butchers bangers saw 12 cars out all providing plenty of entertainment for the crowd, especially Jemma Moore who managed to swap paintwork with almost every other car in all three races! Harry Ackers came out on top of the action in race one followed home by Jake Clague and Grant Crellin. Race two saw Ackers again lead from start to finish escaping the carnage behind him to claim his second win of the evening this time followed by Lee Jordan and Ashley Harrison. Race three was again action packed, this time Clague came out on top after gaining the lead when the lap boards came out with Steven Guest in second and Ste Collister third. The K G Services trophies went to Harry Ackers, Jake Clague and Steven Guest.
SWIFT MOTORS PRODUCTION RODS
The Swift Motors production rods also provided plenty of action with 15 cars out on track. Darren Hudgeon and Rebecca Hands left the rest of the field behind to claim first and second with Nick Ford coming home third after 9 cars battled closely all chasing down that third spot. Race two saw several cars get tangled up, Rebecca Hands led the race and managed to escape the majority of the carnage behind her but in the closing stages she was caught by another car colliding with the safety fence but maintained her lead to win race two from Lee Merryweather and Darren Hudgeon. Rebecca, who had returned to racing after ten years led the final race from start to finish to claim her second victory of the night from Lee Merryweather and Tina Quayle. The K G Services awards went to Rebecca Hands, Lee Merryweather and Darren Hudgeon, with Hands also taking home the Victory Lane ladies award.
