Onchan Raceway sIMG_1420ponsored Monday night’s meeting which certainly ran under wet conditions. Starting proceedings off were the white and yellow roof ministox Josh Watson took the victory in the opening round from Pemma Nissanka, Jordan Halligan-Bunce, Harry Watson and Kian kelly. As conditions deteriorated the ministox class was testing for the young drivers. Jordan Halligan-Bunce drove a great race to take the chequered flag and to claim his first win of the season from the rest of the field which consisted of Pemma, Josh, Harry, , Kian, Jack Dobson and Ted Davis who unfortunately collided with the fence and ended his race early. Conditions and car troubles saw reduced numbers for the remaining races, race three was won by Nissanka followed by Dobson, Halligan-Bunce and Davis. Nissanka also won race four from Halligan-Bunce, Davis and Dobson. Onchan raceway trophies went to Pemma Nissanka, Jordan Halligan-Bunce and Jack Dobson.




In the formula 2’s Dougie Kinrade came out on top of race one, followed by Dave Sutcliffe, Kevin Hooper and Mikey Booth. Mark Hargreaves made a return for the first time this season and was going well until he spun out of third position. Dave Sutcliffe raced to victory in race 2 and 3 with Kinrade 2nd, Hargreaves 3rd and Hooper 4th. Onchan raceway trophies were awarded to Dave Sutcliffe, Dougie Kinrade and Kevin Hooper.




IMG_1432There were low numbers in the production rods but with the wet conditions there was still plenty of action. Robert Hooper won race one from Davey Craine, Sarah Wass, Nick Ford and Leonie Marchbank. Ford won race 2 from Hooper, Craine, Marchbank and Wass. Ford looked set to repeat his victory in race 3 until his bonnet came up starting the last lap and ending his race, Hooper went on to win from Marchbank, Craine and Wass. Onchan raceway trophies went to Robert Hooper, Davey Craine and Leonie Marchbank who also collected the Victory Lane ladies award trophy.





The bangers as always provided plenty of entertainment. Dan Moore won race one from Ashley Harrison and Spud Collister. Nick Collister returned for the first time this season making a good start leading race 2 until his car stopped on lap 6, Moore took the lead and looked set to take the checkered flag until the last corner when his bottom arm snapped on his car ending his race, Spud came through to take first from Ste Collister and Jason Collister. Ashley Harrison took the victory in race three from Spud and Steven Guest. The Onchan raceway trophies were awarded to Spud Collister, Ashley Harrison and Ste Collister.
