Old Lonan Church Farm Cottages sponsored Monday evening’s meeting. Conditions again were poor in another wet and misty meeting.
The 1st choice windows ministox were first out on the track with Ted Davis soon making his way to the front of the pack ahead of Harry Watson, Pemma Nissanka, Josh Watson, Jack Dobson and improving new comer Jake Hooper. Race two saw conditions deteriorating and the track becoming more and greasier. Ted again made his way to the front of the pack ahead of Harry,while Josh collided with an infield marker tyre while trying to pass Pemma but regained speed quickly enough to hold his position. The top three were Ted, Harry and Pemma. Race three saw Jack spin out of contention in the opening stages, Ted made it a hat trick of wins again followed by Harry, Pemma, Josh and Jake. The OLCF trophies were awarded to Ted Davis, Harry Watson and Pemma Nissanka, who also took the whites and yellow championships trophy.
The Mann Construction Formula 2s saw Dave Sutcliffe take the lead in race one and hold on to take the flag ahead of Dougie Kinrade and Kevin Hooper. Dave again won races two and three ahead of Dougie and Kevin. OLCF trophies were awarded to Dave Sutcliffe, Dougie Kinrade and Kevin Hooper.
The A & J Butchers Bangers saw 8 cars out to tackle the wet, greasy conditions. Spud Collister made the most of the weather taking the lead from mid-race and holding on to it to win ahead of James Griffiths and Jason Collister. Race 2 and 3 saw several cars sliding, spinning and colliding with the fence. Spud again took the flag ahead of Jason and Steven Guest. The OLCF trophies were awarded to Spud Collister, Jason Collister and Steven Guest.
The Onchan Raceway Production Rods saw some fast, close racing. Sarah Wass made her way to the front to win race 1 ahead of Robert Hooper and Paul Craine. Race two again saw Sarah take the honours from Robert and Paul. Robert wasn’t going to let Sarah make it a hat-trick in race 3 when he drove like a storm to take the victory from Tina Quayle and Paul. The OLCF trophies were awarded to Robert Hooper, Sarah Wass and Paul Craine. Sarah also received the victory lane ladies award.
Racing resumes Monday 28th August at 7:30pm also featuring a bangers chain race
