WINDOW WIZARD MINISTOX
Another good meeting of action kindly sponsored by Window Wizard Glazing. #25 Pemma Nissanka led the first Ministox race until half distance, but electrical problems slowed him allowing #324 Jack Dobson through to win, followed by #27 Josh Watson. The #1 jinx struck Harry Watson who encounted more engine problems but finished 4th. #777 Jake Hooper won the whites and yellows trophy finishing ahead of fellow newcomer #123 Ben Kelly. Jack Dobson continued his good start to the season by winning the remaining 3 races, Josh Watson and Pemma Nissanka made him work hard, as all 3 Minis circulated the track bumper to bumper. Ben Kelly won the battle of the novices gaining the advantage over Jake Hooper. The Window Wizard Trophies were presented to :-1st Jack Dobson, 2nd Josh Watson, 3rd Ben Kelly.
MANN CONSTRUCTION FORMULA 2s
#164 Dougie Kinrade raced to 3 straight wins in the Mann Construction Formula 2s. #115 Mike Booth and #77 Robert Hooper took the runners up positions. #7 Kevin Hooper is still to find a good car set up but finished all races, as did newcomer #43 Josh Dallimore gaining lots of experience. The Window Wizard Trophies were presented to :-1st Dougie Kinrade, 2nd Robert Hooper, 3rd Kevin Hooper.
A & J QUALITY BUTCHERS BANGERS
Another good turnout of A & J Quality Butchers Bangers saw 2018 Newcomer #35 Harry Ackers lead race 1 which had to be stopped to clear the track of mangled cars, #52 James Griffiths then took the lead winning the race from #419 Jake Clague. Harry Ackers led race 2 until the closing stages until #188 Ashley Harrison squeezed past taking the chequered flag. #171 Ryan Edmunds made an eventful track debut, performing a wall of death stunt ricocheting around the steel barrier in his Ford Fiesta. Harry Ackers made no mistake in race 3, leading from start to finish, claiming his first win in only his second race meeting. The Window Wizard Trophies were presented to :-1st Ashley Harrison, 2nd James Griffiths, 3rd Harry Ackers.
SWIFT MOTORS PRODUCTION RODS
Yet more well presented cars contested the Swift Motors Production Rods, with more new drivers making their track debuts in this ever popular class. Ex Ministox champion #205 Darren Hands took the lead from #4 Darren Hudgeon on lap 3 which he maintained until the lap boards were shown, #22 Nick Ford managed to squeeze past to take the win, Darren Hands finished 2nd ahead of #337 Lee Merryweather and the chasing pack. Darren Hudgeon led race 2 from flag to flag closely followed throughout the race in this very competitive class. Race 3 saw Darren Hudgeon way out in front while Antony Aspel returned to racing maintaining 2nd , Nick Ford made a very brave calculating move which worked well when he took advantage of traffic to move into 3rd. 13 cars started the race and all 13 finished. The Window Wizard trophies were awarded to :- 1st Nick Ford, 2nd Darren Hudgeon, 3rd Darren Hands. #537 Tina Quayle won the Victory Lane Ladies award.
