Old Lonan Church Farm Cottages (O.L.C.F.C) sponsored Monday’s stock car meeting. The Window Wizard Ministox’s were first out. Ben Kelly led the opening laps before Jordan Halligan-Bunce came through on lap four to claim the honours from Harry Watson, Kelly and Pemma Nissanka. Halligan-Bunce took control of race two from the second lap chased down by H. Watson, Nissanka, Josh Watson and Kelly. H. Watson got off to a great start to claim the chequered flag in race three ahead of J. Watson, Kelly, and Nissanka. Kelly again led the opening laps of the final race of the evening until the half way distance when H. Watson came through to claim his second victory of the night ahead of J. Watson, Kelly, Nissanka and Halligan-Bunce. The O.L.C.F.C trophies were awarded to Harry Watson, Ben Kelly, who also claimed the award for highest placed white and yellow roof driver, and Jordan Halligan-Bunce.
The ever entertaining A & J Butchers Bangers were next on the track with thrills and spills from the off they kept the crowds entertained. Steven Guest claimed the honours in race one ahead of Chris Crellin, Grant Crellin, Ashley Harrison, Dylan Cormode and Jordan Brown. Cormode led the first half of race two until race winner Tony Pitt came through on lap 6 to take the honours from Lee Jordan, Guest, Harrison, C. Crellin and Robert Hooper. Jordan went on to win race three ahead of G. Crellin, Harrison, Guest, C.Crellin, Pitt and Hooper. Race four saw Jordan claim his second victory of the evening after slipping past G. Crellin with 2 laps to go, G. Crellin took second from Guest, Harrison, C.Crellin, Cormode and Tom Richards. The O.L.C.F.C trophies were awarded to Lee Jordan, Steven Guest and Grant Crellin.
Georgina Moore got off to a great start in the Swift Motors Production Rods taking a clear flag to flag victory ahead of Mike Craine, Tina Quayle, Josh Ffrench, Mark Hargreaves and Darren Hands. Ffrench took the early lead in race two which saw all cars much closer together providing some great, fast action from all drivers, Ffrench claimed the honours from Craine, Quayle, Hargreaves, Hands and Moore. Race three saw Moore again hold on to take the honours pushed all the way by Ffrench and Craine who filled the second and third places ahead of Hargreaves, Quayle and Hands. Race four saw Moore make it a hatrick claiming the chequered flag just ahead of Ffrench, Craine, Hargreaves, Quayle and Hands.
Racing resumes at Onchan Raceway next week with two meetings, Monday 27thMay at 7:30pm, gates open 7pm and Sunday 2ndJune at 7pm featuring the Bangers team races, gates open at 6pm.
