( THUMBS UP IF THEY ARE OK ) IF A MARSHALL THINKS A DRIVER IS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE THE RACE WILL BE STOPPED OR SUSPENDED.
Drivers staying in cars, this was introduced for the 2016 season, as a safety procedure and worked well, so will remain unchanged for 2019.
ORC STATEMENT 2016 :- this was enforced at tracks throughout the U.K.
With immediate effect, drivers will not be allowed to exit their cars whilst therace circuit is live i.e. under “green” racing conditions. This includes bothdrivers on the race track whose car has become immobilised and those who retire to the infield who must also remain in their cars with both their safety harness and helmet on. The only exception to this is where a car needs to be vacated in emergency conditions – i.e. fire etc. If a driver is in a car and feels unsafe they should indicate this to the marshal who will ask race control to suspend the race.
If a waved yellow caution or red flag race stoppage is instigated, drivers who are already on the centre must remain strapped in and with helmets on. Drivers who are in immobilised cars on other parts of the circuit may exit
their cars whilst the race is suspended but must go into a designated area which is considered by the promotion to be the safest place to be whilst the race is live,(which may well be off the track completely)
Drivers will be informed of where this area is by means of a driver briefing or driver handout. Drivers who are still unsure of where this area is should ensure they find out where it is before racing by contacting the Clerk of the Course or another senior official.
Please note that the above covers all formulas and race tracks within the ORC.
Any drivers getting out of cars unnecessarily will miss the following race as a penalty.

2020 VISION.Time for a change.
During the 2019 season we intend to introduce our own MICRO FORMULA 2 Class.
This will be open to children aged 7 to 12 years old. And will be the start of our future racing plan.
The MINISTOX class which we currently run will change into a new class called STOCK CARS and will be open to current MINISTOX drivers and newcomers aged 12 up to 17 years old.
Modern front wheel drive hatchbacks similar to VAUXHALL CORSA, FORD FIESTA, NISSAN MICRA etc. can be used alongside the original MINISTOX. CAR SPECIFICATIONS will be available soon, and will be based on current MINISTOX RULES, with a few changes bringing them in line and similar to SPEDEWORTH 1300 STOCK CAR SPECIFICATIONS.
I am currently sourcing a CONTROL TYRE, which will be available in 12, 13 or 14 inch diameters. To make the racing cheaper and competitive.
This means the 10 inch YOKOHAMA ministox tyre will not be allowed after this season. 12 inch wheels will fit all current MINISTOX making it an easy change.
This new class will only race in a CLOCKWISE DIRECTION, meaning the original seating position can be maintained, current MINISTOX can remain centre seated.
THE NEW STOCK CARS will also have an ADULT CLASS, aged 17 and above, using the same spec cars.
So when a driver reaches 17 years old they transfer into the ADULT CLASS maintaining the same starting grade and carrying over their CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS which they had scored in the JUNIOR CLASS.
Our current BANGERS and PRODUCTION ROD classes will remain as now, meaning that in the future we will have 5 classes to choose from.
