Barbary Coast grill and bar sponsored the final Monday evening stock car meeting of the season held in overcast conditions.
The Chemical Services sponsored whites and yellows Junior Rod race got proceedings underway with #800 Macauley Teare taking the early lead to take the honours ahead of #444 Tilley Stapleton, #118 Harry Merryweather and #111 Sam Cracknell.
The Window Wizard Junior Rods race one with all cars on track saw #58 Rio Osborne make an early lead chased down hard by #119 TJ Teare who made his move on the last lap to snatch the chequered flag from Rio, #825 Cian Peers took third ahead of #33 Shane Ellison, #41 Nicole Astell-Burt, #444 Tilley Stapleton, #118 Harry Merryweather and #111 Sam Cracknell.
Race two saw Rio Osborne again take an early lead this time maintaining his lead to take his first victory of the evening, TJ Teare took second ahead of Cian Peers, Shane Ellison, Nicole Astell-Burt, Tilley Stapleton, Harry Merryweather and Sam Cracknell.
The final race of the evening saw TJ Teare again chase down Rio Osborne this time making his move on lap seven, Cian Peers claimed second from Rio Osborne, Shane Ellison, Nicole Astell-Burt, Tilley Stapleton and Sam Cracknell.
The Barbary Coast trophies were awarded to 1st TJ Teare, 2nd Rio Osborne, 3rd Cian Peers and Macauley Teare was awarded the whites and yellows race winner’s trophy.
The A&J Butchers Bangers were next out on track with race one seeing five cars on track and with the spin to win format, #124 Steven Harris made a quick start leaving the chasing pack behind to claim the honours from #179 Jordan Halligan-Bunce, #666 Nick Collister and #23 Jemma Moore, with #47 Melvin Collister being spun out.
Race two saw Steven Harris again take an early lead after spinning Jordan Halligan-Bunce out of contention, Nick Collister went on to take second ahead of Jemma Moore in third.
An extra Banger race was slotted in to allow time for the junior drivers sharing cars with the adults to change car’s and safety belts etc.
The Bangers came out again this time without the spin to win formula being used, Steven Harris made it a hat-trick taking another chequered flag with Jemma Moore in second and Nick Collister third.
Race four saw Jemma Moore deny Steven Harris another victory taking the early lead whilst Steven Harris pushed Nick Collister around the track eventually Steven took second ahead of Nick.
The Barbary Coast trophies were awarded to 1st Steven Harris, 2nd Jemma Moore 3rd Nick Collister.
The Mike’s Motors Production Rods were last out on track with eleven cars contesting race one there was some great close racing, the only female driver #34 Jamie Dale made a great start to take the honours ahead of #88 Callum Tilley, #419 Jake Clague, #35 Sion Robert’s, #337 Lee Merryweather, #46 Steve Luton, #327 Vinnie Magee, #358 Mark Hargreaves, #24 Lee Jordan, #41 Brian Purdy and #44 Saul Stapleton.
Race two saw chaos as Magee spun cross Luton in the closing stages of the race with other drivers close behind Jake Clague, Mark Hargreaves and Lee Merryweather all mixed in, Callum Tilley won the race from Jamie Dale, Mark Hargreaves, Lee Merryweather, Lee Jordan, Vinnie Magee, Brian Purdy, Saul Stapleton, Jake Clague and Steve Luton.
The final race of the evening saw Jamie Dale take the honours ahead of Callum Tilley, Mark Hargreaves, Steve Luton, Lee Jordan, Jake Clague and Vinnie Magee.

Racing resumes this Sunday 5thof September with gates opening at 1pm and racing from 2pm, racing will then run every Sunday afternoon throughout September.
