Racing resumed at a sun-kissed Onchan Stadium on Sunday after a 2 week break sponsored by Chemical Services.
First out on track were the Window Wizard Junior Rod’s. The white and yellow roof drivers got proceedings underway with #11 Kian Staniford making a great start taking an early lead and claiming the honours closely followed by #800 Macauley Teare, #118 Harry Merryweather, new driver #44 Daniel Stapleton and #111 Sam Cracknell.
Race one featuring all roof grades saw #33 Shane Ellison quickly make his way to the front holding on to take the chequered flag ahead of #825 Cian Peers, Kian Staniford, Harry Merryweather, #26 Shannon Moore, #41 Nicole Astell-Burt, #119 TJ Teare, #58 Rio Osborne and Sam Cracknell. Race two saw Harry Merryweather make a quick start staying clear of the chasing pack to claim the honours ahead of Shannon Moore, TJ Teare, Cian Peers, Kian Staniford, Shane Ellison, Rio Osborne and Sam Cracknell. Race three was won by Shane Ellison with TJ Teare second and Kian Staniford third ahead of Nicole Astell-Burt, Harry Merryweather, Rio Osborne and Sam Cracknell. Harry Merryweather made a quick start again in race four going on to claim his second victory of the day followed by Shane Ellison, Kian Staniford, Nicole Astell-Burt, TJ Teare, Cian Peers, Rio Osborne and Sam Cracknell.
The Chemical Services trophies were awarded to :- 1st Shane Ellison. 2nd Harry Merryweather and 3rd Kian Staniford who also picked up the white and yellow award.
As the top point scoring driver, scoring 58 points over the previous three meetings #33 Shane Ellison was also awarded the Jack and Marjorie Whitehead Memorial Shield.
The A&J Quality Butchers Basic Bangers were next out on the track with #179 Jordan Halligan-Bunce claiming the victory in race one followed by #728 Tom Westbrook and new driver #47 Mel Collister. #666 Nick Collister was left on the infield watching after an early crash left him without a tyre. Race two saw Jordan Halligan-Bunce take his second victory of the afternoon followed by Mel.Collister, Nick Collister and Tom Westbrook. Race three saw Nick Collister hold off Jordan Halligan-Bunce to claim the honours ahead of Mel Collister finishing in 3rd. Race four saw Nick Collister hold off plenty of challenges from Jordan Halligan-Bunce to claim the final victory of the afternoon with Mel Collister taking third.

The Mike’s Motors Production Rod’s rounded off the afternoons racing with plenty of fast, close action. Race one saw #46 Steve Luton make his way to the front in the closing stages to claim the honours ahead of #538 Ian Kneale, #358 Mark Hargreaves, #357 Jamie Turnbull, #34 Jamie Dale and #88 Callum Tilley. Race two saw the red flags come out at the half way mark when Jamie Dale collided with the fence rolling onto her side, she climbed from the car to cheers of the crowd. Steve Luton won the restarted race ahead of Jamie Turnbull, Mark Hargreaves, Ian Kneale and Callum Tilley. Race three saw Steve Luton make it a hat-trick finishing ahead of Mark Hargreaves, Ian Kneale, Jamie Turnbull, Callum Tilley and Jamie Dale who it was great to see straight back out on track. Race four was won by Steve Luton with Mark Hargreaves second ahead of Ian Kneale, Jamie Turnbull and Callum Tilley.
The Chemical Services trophies were awarded to :- 1st Steve Luton, 2nd Mark Hargreaves and 3rd Ian Kneale.
#46 Steve Luton was also awarded the Gold Cup as the highest point scoring driver over the previous three meetings scoring 75 points.
Racing returns next Sunday 3rdJuly with gates opening at 1pm and racing from 2pm.
