Window Wizard sponsored Sunday afternoon’s stock car racing, the mist lifted and the sun shone in time for the racing to begin.
First out on track were the Chemical Services sponsored white’s and yellow’s Junior Rod’s with #800 Macauley Teare making a quick start and after the opening laps pulling away to claim the win convincingly ahead of #118 Harry Merryweather, #11 Kian Staniford, #44 Bradley Stapleton and #111 Sam Cracknell.
Next out was the full grid of Window Wizard Junior Rod’s with all grades competing, again Macauley Teare made a quick start before brother TJ Teare #119 took the lead, the race was then red flagged after Macauley clipped a tyre rolling his car – he climbed out to applause of the crowd.
The restarted race was won by #33 Shane Ellison with #825 Cian Peers second ahead of TJ Teare, #26 Shannon Moore, Harry Merryweather, #41 Nicole Astell-Burt, Kian Staniford, Bradley Stapleton and Sam Cracknell.
Race two saw Kian Staniford make a quick start but the race had to be restarted to remove Shannon Moore’s car following a collision. The restarted race was also brought to an early finish after Kian Staniford and Shane Ellison came together, TJ Teare was declared the winner ahead of Shannon Moore, Nicole Astell-Burt, Cian Peers, Harry Merryweather, Bradley Stapleton, Kian Staniford, Shane Ellison and Sam Cracknell.
Race three saw Harry Merryweather make a quick start holding off TJ Teare and Kian Staniford, in the closing stages the first four cars came together causing the red flag to be shown and the race declared. Kian Staniford was awarded first from Nicole Astell-Burt, Cian Peers, Sam Cracknell, Harry Merryweather and TJ Teare.
The Window Wizard trophies were awarded to 1st Cian Peers, 2nd Nicole Astell-Burt and 3rd TJ Teare, with Macauley Teare awarded the white’s and yellow’s trophy.
The Mike’s Motors Production Rods saw #327 Vinnie Magee make a great start in race one unchallenged to take his maiden victory ahead of #46 Steve Luton, #538 Ian Kneale, #357 Jamie Turnbull, #358 Mark Hargreaves, #88 Callum Tilley and #34 Jamie Dale.
Race two saw a stoppage after Mark Hargreaves engine blew and Ian Kneale hit the engine oil colliding with the fence. The restarted race saw Steve Luton claim the honours ahead of Vinnie Magee, Jamie Turnbull, Callum Tilley and Jamie Dale.
Race three again saw Vinnie Magee take the early lead chased hard by Steve Luton who managed to take the honours in the closing stages from Vinnie Magee, Jamie Turnbull, Callum Tilley and Jamie Dale.
Race four again saw Steve Luton chase hard sneaking through in the closing stages to take the honours ahead of Vinnie Magee, Callum Tilley, Jamie Turnbull and Jamie Dale.
The Window Wizard trophies were awarded to 1stSteve Luton, 2ndVinnie Magee and 3rdJamie Turnbull.
The A&J Butchers Bangers were hindered by mechanical issues completing two races.
Race one was won by #47 Mel Collister with #179 Jordan Halligan-Bunce taking second, #666 Nick Collister broke down half way through.
Race two saw Mel Collister again take the early lead followed by Jordan Halligan-Bunce and Nick Collister, at the midway point Jordan Halligan-Bunce was spun and his race ended, on the last lap Mel Collister broke down ending his race 200m early. Nick Colister took the honours.
The Window Wizard trophies were awarded to 1st Nick Collister, 2nd Mel Collister and 3rd Jordan Halligan-Bunce.
