The sun shone over Onchan Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the first of the September meetings, the Chemical Services whites and yellows Junior Rod’s got proceedings underway with #800 Macauley Teare claiming the honours ahead of #113 Sorcha Wade, #444 Tillie Stapleton, #118 Harry Merryweather and #111 Sam Cracknell.
The Window Wizard Junior Rod’s race one saw Sorcha Wade make a great start being caught in the closing stages by race winner #825 Cian Peers, #119 TJ Teare took second ahead of #41 Nicole Astell-Burt, #26 Shannon Moore, #58 Rio Osborne, #33 Shane Ellison, Sorcha Wade, Harry Merryweather, Tilley Stapleton and Sam Cracknell.
Race two saw more great racing with Sorcha Wade again holding the early lead before TJ Teare came through in the closing stages, Nicole Astell-Burt and Cian Peers came together causing a stoppage. TJ Teare won the restarted race from Sorcha Wade, Shannon Moore, Rio Osborne, Shane Ellison, Cian Peers, Nicole Astell-Burt, Tillie Stapleton, Harry Merryweather and Sam Cracknell.
The final race saw TJ Teare again negotiate the pack to claim the honours ahead of Shannon Moore, Cian Peers, Rio Osborne, Shane Ellison, Nicole Astell-Burt, Sorcha Wade, Tillie Stapleton, Harry Merryweather and Sam Cracknell.
The Onchan Raceway Karting trophies were awarded to 1st TJ Teare, 2ndShannon Moore and 3rd Cian Peers with Macauley Teare awarded the whites and yellows trophy.
The Mike’s Motors Production Rod’s were out next, race one saw #98 Jordan Dougherty leading when the waved yellow flags came out following a collision involving #327 Vinnie Magee and #88 Callum Tilley. The restarted race saw a great battle between #538 Ian Kneale and #46 Steve Luton with the latter taking the honours from Ian Kneale, Jordan Dougherty held on for third ahead of #34 Jamie Dale, #35 Sion Roberts and Vinnie Magee.
Race two saw Steve Luton fight his way through from the back to take the lead at the mid way point holding on to take his second victory of the afternoon ahead of Ian Kneale, Jordan Dougherty, Jamie Dale and Lee Merryweather.
Race three saw Steve Luton make it a hat-trick taking the chequered flag ahead of Ian Kneale, Jordan Dougherty and Jamie Dale.
The Onchan Raceway Karting trophies were awarded to 1st Steve Luton, 2nd Ian Kneale and 3rd Jordan Dougherty.
The A&J Butchers Bangers were last out competing in the spin to win format.
Race one saw #24 Lee Jordan spin #171 Ryan Edmunds who ended up stuck on an infield tyre, Lee Jordan went on to spin his way through the pack taking out #666 Nick Collister on his way to win the race ahead of #23 Jemma Moore and #179 Jordan Halligan-Bunce.
Race two saw Lee Jordan take the early lead eventually spinning Ryan Edmunds to take the chance of victory, Jordan Halligan-Bunce took second ahead of Jemma Moore and Ryan Edmunds.
Race three saw Lee Jordan make it a hat-trick being the only driver left running in the race, Jemma Moore’s race ended early on and Jordan Halligan-Bunce spun Ryan Edmunds ending both of their race.
