Barbary Coast Grill and Bar sponsored Sunday afternoons stock car racing held in perfect conditions with all classes competing in the second of three rounds for their sword of state/ dagger of honour championships.
The Window Wizard Junior Rods were first out on the track with #825 Cian Peers making a quick start to take the early lead in race one which he held to take the chequered flag ahead of #58 Rio Osborne, #41 Nicole Astell-Burt and #26 Shannon Moore.
Cian went on to take the honours in race two again followed home by Rio, Shannon, Nicole and #10 Kian Staniford who suffered car troubles after a crash in practice.
Race three saw Rio Osbourne lead from the start closely followed by Cian Peers and Shannon Moore who both battled throughout the race, Nicole Astell-Burt was just behind in fourth.
Race four saw Rio take his second victory of the afternoon ahead of Cian who chased hard but had to settle for second, Nicole held off strong challenges from Shannon to take third with Shannon fourth.
The Barbary Coast trophies were awarded to :- 1: Rio Osborne 2: Cian Peers and 3: Nicole Astell-Burt.

The Swift Motors Production Rods were next out on track with #357 Jamie Turnbull making a quick start from the front of the field to take the first victory of the afternoon, #101 Mike Savino took second ahead of #22 Nick Ford, #53 Josh Ffrench, #337 Lee Merryweather, #69 Georgina Moore and #538 Ian Kneale.
Race two again saw Jamie Turnbull take a flag to flag victory ahead of Mike Savino, Josh Ffrench, Nick Ford, Lee Merryweather, Georgina Moore, #12 Tommy Atkins and Ian Kneale.
Race three saw Jamie win again followed by Josh, Lee, Tommy and Ian.
Race four once again saw Turnbull take the victory with a clear lead from the start, Merryweather took second with Ffrench third. Moore took fourth ahead of Atkins and Kneale.
The Barbary Coast trophies were awarded to :- 1: Jamie Turnbull 2: Josh Ffrench and 3: Lee Merryweather.

The A&J Butchers Bangers were last out to entertain the crowd with nine cars making their way on to the track for race one, #728 Tom Westbrook took the honours followed by #24 Lee Jordan with #23 Jemma Moore taking third, #171 Ryan Edmunds took fourth ahead of #18 Grant Crellin and #77 Robert Hooper.
Race two again saw nine cars lined up on the grid and after multiple collisions on laps two and three the race had to be stopped and then restarted once all the damaged cars had been removed, Jemma Moore and Lee Jordan were the only two cars to survive the carnage with Jemma taking the honours and Lee second.
Race three was again stopped and restarted after #666 Nick Collister wiped out Grant Crellin on turn three only to be taken out himself on turn two on the next lap, once the race restarted Lee Jordan took the chequered flag ahead of Tom Westbrook and Jemma Moore.
Race four saw four cars take to the track, Lee Jordan took the victory followed by Tom Westbrook, Jemma Moore and Grant Crellin.
The Barbary Coast trophies were awarded to :- 1: Lee Jordan 2: Jemma Moore and 3: Tom Westbrook.

Racing resumes next Sunday 27thSeptember with the final round of the 2020 season with the Junior Rods, Production Rods and Bangers all competing for the final round of the championships, the Junior Rods and Bangers final round of their Sword of State, the final round of the Dagger of Honour for the Production Rods and as is tradition the End of Season Demolition Derby will be the last event of the afternoon to end a very entertaining 2020 Stockcar season at Onchan Raceway.
