WINDOW WIZARD MINISTOX
Monday evening’s meeting was sponsored by Mann Construction. The Ministox were first out with Ben Kelly taking an early lead before Jordan Halligan-Bunce made his way through to lead until lap nine when race winner Jack Dobson took the lead to win from Halligan-Bunce, Josh Watson, Pemma Nissanka, Kelly, Harry Watson and Jake Hooper. Kelly again led race two until lap five when mechanical issues forced him to retire and the race to be brought to a close, Dobson won the restarted race from H. Watson, J. Watson, Halligan-Bunce, Nissanka and Hooper. Race three saw Halligan-Bunce take an early lead and held onto to take the chequered flag from Dobson, J. Watson, H. Watson, Nissanka, Kelly and Hooper. The Mann construction trophies were awarded to Jack Dobson, Jordan Halligan-Bunce and Josh Watson with ben Kelly awarded the white and yellow roof drivers award.
MANN CONSTRUCTION FORMULA 2’S
The Formula 2s were next on track and it was good to see Matthew Cox returning after his accident in the previous meeting. Robert Hooper took the early lead before Dougie Kinrade took the lead at half race distance to win from Kevin Hooper, R. Hooper and Cox. Kinrade won race two from K. Hooper, R. Hooper and Cox. Completing the hatrick of wins Kinrade took the honours in race three from K. Hooper, R. Hooper and Cox. The Mann Construction trophies were awarded to Dougie Kinrade, Kevin Hooper and Robert Hooper.
A&J QUALITY BUTCHERS BANGERS
The bangers entertained the crowd with thirteen cars on track. Race one was action packed from the green flag with cars being spun all around the track, Lee Jordan escaped the carnage to claim the victory in race one from Jack Sayle and Ashley Harrison. Jordan again took control of race two to win from Grant Crellin and Harrison. Race three had to be red flagged and completely restarted after Jack Sayle rolled on the exit of turn three, he climbed out of his car to the applause of the crowd. Jordan won the restarted race from Nick Collister and Crellin. The Mann Construction trophies were awarded to Lee Jordan, Ashley Harrison and Grant Crellin.
SWIFT MOTORS PRODUCTION RODS
The Production Rods were the last out on track, Brendon Parker won race one from Colin Clague, Lauren Miller, Nick Ford and Tina Quayle. Race two saw Clague take the lead with three laps to go to win from Miller, Parker, Robert Hooper and Quayle. Due to a racing incident in race 3 the red flag came out and the race was cut short.
Next meeting Monday 23rd July at 7:30 pm with the opening round of our visiting drivers. Racing Monday 23rd , Thursday 26th, Saturday 28th and Monday 30th July featuring the Formula 2 Manx open championships and National Ministox championships and for the first time the Micro formula 2s driven by children aged 8 to 11 years old
